Franklin has been practicing in orthopedic outpatient care for 23 years, specializing in orthopedics with a focus on the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He is also certified in aquatic rehabilitation and participates in regular continuing education to keep current on the best practices in therapeutic interventions and modalities. Originally from Washington, DC, Franklin relocated to San Diego shortly after PTA school to enjoy year-round outdoor sports and activities. As an avid USMS Master’s swimmer, he has cultivated this interest and has practiced in aquatic therapy. He’s always happy to give patients advice if they have a pool. He has also acquired several certifications in manual therapy which he applies when working with patients in the clinic. His interests include ice skating, volleyball, swimming, weight lifting, animals and gardening. He is a dog lover and lifelong Dachshund owner. He currently shares his home with two dachshunds, Abbie and Pickles and spends a lot of time at the dog park. He recognizes the importance of being able to participate in activities and hobbies that interest us and structures treatments for his patients that are individualized to help return them to what they really love to do.
