Graduating from the US Naval Academy in 2016, Kayla spent 7 years serving in the Navy. Wanting to continue her service to her community, she transitioned to physical therapy, obtaining her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Tufts University in 2025. She looks forward to joining the SpineZone team and further developing her clinical skillset to ensure quality, holistic care for her patients.
During her clinical rotations, Kayla gained experience in neuro rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics. These experiences reaffirmed her desire to work in the outpatient setting where she hopes to help her patients reach their goals and address their primary complaints. She particularly enjoys working with older adults, with a focus on fall prevention and maintaining and improving functional independence. In her free time, Kayla enjoys skiing and surfing with her husband, and spending as much time outside as possible. She loves to expand her culinary skills and dabbles in sourdough bread making.
