Kian Raiszadeh, MD spent 6 years at Kaiser Permanente’s Sports Medicine department at the San Marcos Medical Center. As a Physician In Charge, Kian specialized in sports medicine.
He spent 5 years teaching advanced open and arthroscopic shoulder and knee techniques to the Kaiser sports medicine fellows. Kian always had entrepreneurial aspirations and they became a reality when he founded a software company to address some of the problems in health care. It soon became clear that leaving Kaiser to join forces with his brother at SpineZone was the right strategy to bring both of their goals to fruition. Kian continues to operate several days every month to keep his skills sharp.
Kian is a proud UC Berkeley graduate who completed medical school at UC San Diego. He also has been a two-time Team Captain on the UC Berkeley Tennis team and has reached the Division 1 NCAA finals in 1995 and 1998.
